MicroLux started with a simple question: how good can an enlarger lens be for reproduction? MicroLux is as much about documenting lenses — particularly the small gems from the darkroom — as it is about testing them.
The project has since expanded to include macro, copy and industrial lenses, as well as other unusual or interesting optics that may have potential for reproduction and close-up photography. Some are well documented, while others have almost disappeared from photographic history.
